Hi Rodinhooders,
I heard a lot about The Rodinhood community and have been following it for sometime now. I would like to appreciate Mr. Alok and Rodinhooders for such a great platform to guide startups.
Now, to my idea: I have been running a Bikers’ Cafe selling customizes bike accessories and gears. We are planning to get the same online through a e-com website. We want to get all information about Automobiles available on this site. Like the nearby bike/car mechanic, tyre dealers, accessory shops and many more for both bikes and cars and make it a one-stop destination for all automobile needs. My team has already started the work.
Need your suggestions on the idea. We have a meeting with an Incubator group next week. Can we share the plan to the Incubators?
This is our first startup and would like guidance from Alok and the community.

I feel pessimistic about ideas which have keywords like ‘one-stop-solution-for-all-XYZ-needs’
If I were you, I’d focus on a niche. I’m not saying that giving an all-rounder solution is bad. But why not climb a hill before venturing towards The Everest?

Cost is a good suggestion. Thanks @Manish
@Nishant: Thanks for the suggestion. One stop solution is what we plan to make the website in a couple of years. We plan to fulfill consumers necessities first and then add on gradually. One hill at a time till we reach the set one 🙂

Rahul,
– a transparent price discovery for after-market parts & accessories is critical
– you could embed a service call, as a reminder to each of the vehicle owner and connect the same with the OEM service station
– You should target a large chunk of tier 2 and tier 3 auto comp manufacturers who currently working with OEMs, but are looking to enter the after-market & accessories space, as margins & cash flows are highly depressing while having OEMs as the only clientele…
Happy to help
