I was gifted an Android Plush Pet last week. Once I came home, I made my Android Pet sit in the lap of my Buddha so that Budhha could bless it and its followers and grant us better fortunes..
When I unpacked the Android Pet, this is the label (front and back) that came off:

Now, let me say:
First the definition of Sentient Beings (wikipedia)
Sentient beings is a term used to designate the totality of living, conscious beings that constitute the object and audience of Buddhist teaching. Translating various Sanskrit terms (jantu, bahu jana, jagat, sattva), sentient beings conventionally refers to the mass of living things subject to illusion, suffering, and rebirth (Saṃsāra). Less frequently, sentient beings as a class broadly encompasses all beings possessing consciousness, including Buddhas and Bodhisattvas.
Interesting that the robots were versed in Buddhism despite living in the CRAB dynasty…
AMAZING CO-INCIDENCE THAT I PLACED THEM IN THE LAP OF THE BUDDHA!!!
Now, the robots were amazed to see us ( I assume we were/are the Sentient beings and not the rulers in North Korea) – eating DEAD ANIMALS AND PLANTS…
DEAD ANIMALS – no no no – thank you robots for supporting vegetarianism. And knowing that you are Buddhist inclined, I can understand.
DEAD PLANTS – hmmmm….Now, dear Robots – in this land called earth, there is something called COOKING…. we ‘sentient’ beings like to feed ourselves with food that is COOKED and PRE PREPARED rather that standing in a garden and bending down and eating a flower from the flower pot…
Dear Android Robots – these are the DANGERS OF EATING LIVING THINGS (on planet EARTH)
– There are insects and bacteria that live on PLANTS – that we humans recommend be removed before eating. Its not really nice to be swallowing a living bee – if you understand what i mean..
– Also, If you TRY AND EAT A LIVING ANIMAL – it MAY EAT YOU INSTEAD – On Earth, our ‘sentient’ beings like to eat Snakes and Crocodiles and Crabs and other such animals. Going up to a snake and trying to eat it ALIVE may….errrr…. not be GOOD FOR the sentient being per se.
So, yes we do eat dead plants and animals.
Now, I am happy you liked ‘sophisticated smartphones more to to your liking’ – hmmmm….. did you pick up the Apple iPhone by any chance?

And as far as buying you as plush toys – we Sentient Beings have moved beyond that… we are actually buying phones with your operating system instead!!!….. coz, like it or not – we humans on this planet make do with all that is left behind and make it bigger and better than it was ever imagined!!
