‘The Rodinhoods’ list on Facebook

Hi All,

Facebook has added a new feature called ‘Lists’. This feature is very similar to Twitter list where one can create a list and add other Facebook members to that list. Then people can subscribe/follow that list.

Following appropriate list/s will overtime enrich your own feed based on your likes and interactions. This will also allow you to not only see what other interesting people are talking/thinking about but may also provide a chance to interact and engage them. So instead of following 50 different well respected Entrepreneurs, I can create a list called ‘Entrepreneurs’ and add those 50 people to that list and keep adding more.

I have just created a list for ‘The Rodinhoods‘. In my mind these are all the members who are part of this forum. Would love to add all members of The Rodinhoods to this list who are on Facebook and might be interested in interacting with other members and share and learn. Can you please respond and put a link to your profile so that I can add it to the list.

I have already added @Gurpreet, @Alok, @Rohit Nair and myself to the list.

And, I am still figuring this thing out, so please be patient with me in the meantime.

Cheers,

Tejas

  1. And important thing – As I see it, subscribing to a list is not going to mean that it is going to clutter your newsfeed. You will have to click on the list feed to view all the updates from the list members.

  2. tejas… we already have therodinhoods community fb page. can we start a LIST there so it’s not confusing???

  3. Hi Asha,

I see your point, sorry if if it seems that I am jumping around really excited! I am.

What do you suggest? Lists is a bit different from the community page. With lists one can view all publicly shared updates by the members added to the list and not just updates shared on the ‘Facebook Page’ if that makes sense.

Let’s come up with a better solution. The intention is to bring the community members more closer and increase more interactions with them.

  4. i see where you’re coming from tejas! and as i pointed out, i would love to be a part of the yarra valley rodinhood mixer :)))))))

let’s get some feedback from the others. yeah?!

  5. ha ha, I sincerely hope that Yarra Valley serves some orange juice! I should get searching.
