The Sale

The CEO of a popular clothes store spoke at the Monastery last evening. He explained that for his Company, ‘Sales’ worked well.

He said, “Once we decide to feature a sale, we don’t hold back. We cut prices and delight our consumers. Sales is an internal report card for the business – to evaluate what didn’t sell and whether we priced some products incorrectly.”

Sensei told the gathering, “Regularly create ‘Sales’ in your minds. Gather all your thoughts, impressions, ideas, feelings and just dispose them off! Clean the inventory of your mind. Figure what you should not have stocked in the first place. And then, once the shelves are empty allow only the good stuff to come in….”
