The session will focus on “The Third Wave of e-Commerce: Global Insights”. In India we have gone through two waves of e-commerce, starting with establishment of inventory-led businesses and now managed marketplaces. Both models have been primarily focused on providing access to online inventory and satisfactory fulfillment. The next wave of e-commerce will require innovation around customer experiences, merchandising and marketing. In this session we will take specific innovations, business models and companies from the US market to illustrate value drivers, and where next set of e-commerce companies could innovate in India.
