Hi all,
I am not able to send emails from my Yahoo account from my iphone 5S. I am receiving all my mails. The moment i send a mail from my phone, it shows “Unable to send Email: A copy has been placed in your Outbox. The sender address rohanparmar117@yahoo.co.in was rejected by the server”.
I have read all the possible solutions available on the internet, but none helped.
I deleted the account from the iphone & Re-added the account.
I changed the outgoing server as well.
I also tried different port numbers of server output (465, 587)
What settings have to be changed ??

Try this as a Single shot if it works for your requirement 🙂
It is your SMTP settings ,Delete them and Recreate.
This is not an unusual issue :
iOS: Configuring additional outgoing mail servers
Step by Step as :
1. Remove your account from the ios device.
2. Add a new account using the “Other” option in iOS Mail, rather than Yahoo!, and use the following settings:
Incoming Server – imap.mail.yahoo.com
Outgoing Server – smtp.mail.yahoo.com
Incoming Port – 993 (requires SSL)
Outgoing Port – 465 or 587 (requires SSL/TLS)
User name: full email address (for example, rohanparmar117@yahoo.co.in)
Password: the password you log in to Yahoo! with.
I think the key is, in rebuilding your Yahoo account, you need to put your complete Yahoo e-mail address
You should be able to troubleshoot the problem by going to
“Outgoing Mail Server”,
clicking on SMTP, notice that the PRIMARY SERVER was “on”, but that same server under “OTHER SMTP SERVERS” was “off”.
Make sure that both servers for “primary” and “other” are set for ON and this will solve your problem!
Try going into Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > select the account > account name , tap on SMTP (under the ‘Outgoing Mail Server’ heading) and then tap on your Primary Server and try entering your email account and password and see if it then works
Making sure all your settings are absolutely correct, press your Home button and Power button down for a few seconds until it switches off, once its Powered up wait for it to connect to Wifi or 3G or what ever network you are on and then go check into your mails and it should disappear 🙂

Breathe easy. It’s likely yahoo server disruption which should correct itself in due course of time. Reported by many yahoo mail users. Also can be seen captured by many uptime trackers like:
https://downrightnow.com/yahoomail
https://downdetector.com/status/yahoo-mail
In the long run, you might want to migrate to other client such as gmail.

I tried all of what you said, still not able to send mails.
Still getting the same message “Unable to send Email: A copy has been placed in your Outbox. The sender address rohanparmar117@yahoo.co.in was rejected by the server”
This is a problem with many iphone users.
Its too frustrating. I have to use a gmail id for sending mails from my phone.
