We are building a YouTube marketing & analytics product from India. Our vision is to help anyone with a YouTube video to promote among audience either through organic or paid marketing. We are launching some marketing & analytics tools for brands, movie producers, YouTube channel owners & Indie artists to help them grow their YouTube videos & channel.
We just released beta version of our first marketing tool. This is a YouTube video email marketing tool .By using our tool, anyone can send a Video email in the embed form inside email to his/her subscribers/customers. The best part is we are providing real time video analytics feature where you can actually track who clicked your video, watched, how much time watched, from where watched etc. This metrics can help you to understand about your video content. And at the same time you can increase the no. of views of your YouTube video.

What happens if the email is downloaded to an email client? Am not sure if there is an actual real world use case for video emails. I maybe wrong. Can you explain the market you are targeting? From what I’ve seen, video emails maybe a good gimmick that could flare up for a while, but if you really want to engage and convert email subscribers we still need text.

We are targeting small & large brands who want to engage with their customers through video email. This video email may be a video newsletter, customer’s testimonial, product demo video, Thank you message video, Greetings video, b2b product promotion video etc. Apart from brands, we are targeting movie producers & artists who want to send a new album video/movie trailer to their audience through email. See, currently nobody has adopted video in email for any marketing activities. But we as a startup see the potential in coming time.
You have asked a good question for downloading a video. Right now, we don’t have this feature, because most of our clients are b2b. For a b2c user, this feature would be use full. We can give a download option inside the mail.

+1 to what Abey said @ the use case. Considering the fact that video technologies typically trip the spam filters and are generally blocked by ISPs and email clients?

Analytics? Have you ever run a video marketing campaign in adwords? Have you checked the *enormous* array of data points Google lets you track via adwords video campaigns (or even standalone youtube analytics section).
There is a whole section dedicated to earned actions already in the video marketing campaigns ( earned channel subscribers, etc) besides a plethora of video specific KPIs.
My apologies, but I’m wondering whether you’re manufacturing an imaginary problem to solve with your product. Cheers & all the best.

I totally agree with your points, yes currently there are some technological challenge in video email. But we are coming up some solution to address this issue.

I think you can target companies/categories where a demo is important before the actual sale. They might be willing to pay for the service.

Here are my observations:
1. Proof-reading : I noticed that your the website content needs proof-reading. The first impression is everything and some sentences need rephrasing. Please do consider using the services of a professional content-writer.
2. Video content :The concept of video marketing is just picking up in India. Basically, your company carries the intended message to the target audience. Given that, have you tied up with video creation companies? My feeling is even if I have an interest to promote my product through video and I do not have a way of creating good videos, I will get stuck. 3. Pricing : I really feel you should give an indicative pricing on your website. I may be wrong, but if something does not have a price tag associated, the ‘perceived’ value is also less. You are definitely not selling a commodity B2C product where people can guess the price based on market data. So having some slab pricing might be a good idea.

My initial thought was you are about 10-20 years ahead of the curve with this product. Think ‘video logs’ from Star Trek. 🙂
But, after reading your reply and thinking about it some more I think you may have an use case for it even now with the following features.
1. Integrate with with existing email providers like Aweber and Mailchimp. This will solve the IP reputation issue and give you access to bonafide opt-in lists, rather than earn the wrath of email ISPs (aol, google, yahoo, etc) for non-optin email addresses uploaded in bulk. It will also shift you away from having to depend on your SMTP saving you a few pennies there.
2. Create a simple method to add Call to Action overlays in the video or in the email body.
3. Support for other video hosting platforms like vimeo and wistia.
4. Detect non-HTML5 email clients and show a preview pic with click-through-link to actual video
With this in place you could promote your product on Warrior Forum the breeding ground for internet marketers who usually have a large lists and are looking for a new gimmick to cut through the noise.

Don’t worry too much about pricing now. Get the validation that you have a market. But yes, if you want to be taken seriously your english must be top notch and without typos and grammatical errors. Fix that.

Expose your service to other websites(not just social) where filmmakers promote their video (ex: behindwoods, indiaglitz etc) can use your tool to compare effectiveness of the promotions in individual websites.

YouTube provides analytics about your video & channel. But when you send a YouTube video in email to your customers/subscribers, YouTube does not provide. Just send a YouTube video email to my email id & tell me whether i opened your email or not, whether i clicked on your video or not, whether i watched your video or not, how much time i watched your video etc.
We are just building a tool where you can send & track a video email effectively.
Yes i agree, the video insertion is happening inside email, but most of them just use a thumbnail image & backlink it to a video hosting url. In this case the video analytics missed.
We are trying build this product with better video analytics.
Please let me know if you have any doubt. I would glad to clear them all.

Yea Yatin, we will provide the entire funnel only on analytics side. Yea i am aware about Wistia, but they are majorly into enterprise category. They even don’t support a YouTube hosted video, they have their own player & hosting. In our case, our vision is to give millage to our customers by making his/her video viral. And you know YouTube is the only platform to go forward viral & social sharable.
In future we may launch streaming facility & customized player for enterprise clients. But right now major focus is to make this product validate in India & other markets before adding more features.
