PS2/3, PSP, et al are hugely popular with kids – adolescents / teenagers. i don’t know a kid in my locality in Bangalore (and I live in a rather conservative locality of Bangalore) that does not own one/more of these gadgets – this is what my kid first told me when he wanted one and then I realized he was right!
I agree with you, and to an extent share in your angst – we cannot change a country. Me thinks, however, the next generation has already set about changing itself and so the nation! And I’m glad my kid & his gen have taken to gaming and turning away from sedentary entertainment

Ask the SONY and Microsoft guys and they weep with their performance in india – hardware and software (that has now begun getting pirated also)!
