That ITCH (keeda) of having one’s own business is almost there in EVERYBODY I’ve met and read about…
But the critical question is TIME of entry in the game….
Are you entering at the TOP of your career cycle OR at a time when you are LEFT out in the lurch(managed out) and struggling for air….
Do you start when you start envying ‘abe dekh din mein 1000 samose bech leta hooga’ AND ‘sal@# din bhar line laga ke kachori bechata hai’ OR when you are fed up and frustrated the way you have been served the same samosa and kachori and you ENTREPRENUER????????
Probably it is prudent that let the ‘keeda’ germinate and grow and develops into a viable business model alongwith your steady source of income….argument may come…’dhobi ka kutta na ghar ka ghat ka’ or ‘no pain no gain’ and even ‘sahare ke saath tairna nahi seekh sakte’ but then evaluate, ‘kya swarg ke liye marna jaroori hai’….
Probably successful entreprenuers would have been those who along with their business plan and model would have a very strong SUSTAINABLE period and kitty.
Would like all to value add..

Himanshu,
Before you ask when is the right time, the more pertinent question to ask is, Why do you want to be an entrepreneur and how badly do you want it ?
Entrepreneurship has been romanticized to a great extent in the recent past but the bitter truth is that its not for everybody.
Not being judgmental here but a lot of folks while wanting to be entrepreneurs still want a structured and defined life.
Entrepreneurship is about the harsh reality of running a business, the responsibility of leading a team and the high of having your freedom and making a difference.
Once you know why you want it and how badly, the when will automatically fall in place 🙂
