That was great, the Product Head knows you and vice-versa; what about the regular-thin-blood consumers ? Service providers do take their conumers for granted.
so, you got the real point i was trying to make. this is NOT a zapak rant. its about recognizing that the average consumer is your neighbor and she doesn’t know nobody!
You just gave them a healthy dose of the ‘Mummy-Papa Test’
The parameters of the Test are quite simple. Whatever you design in terms of UI, Workflows, and Communications, present it to your Mother who has a few grey hairs and your father.
Reason – They invented the ‘Keep It Simple Silly’ rules.
And yes, chances are they will call it a spade, if what you have presented before them isn’t quite upto the mark(politely speaking it sucks!).
Reason – Your mother barely works a cellphone and likes everything systematic and simple. Your father works on old school rules. They got married and became PEDANTIC about simple things and keeping them that way.
This post is real toooo much .. Infact an another signature on the fact that Reliance group just does not understand consumer business. There are lot of similar stories for there mobile services, life insurance .. and even for Big FM services.

Dho Dala!
The next time I launch a service and feel over confident about it, I am surely going to give you an invite for some reality check 😛

Damn – why do you need both Java AND .NET ??
But laughs aside, it is obvious that this was written by a techie for other techies.
Whoever wrote this has not imagined himself (somehow it seems like this was written by man ?) in the shoes of a customer.
